Client Goal: Transform an underused storage space into a flexible, multipurpose environment that fosters creativity, connection, and student ownership.

Client Industry: Higher Education

Location: Austin, TX

Project Summary

St. Edward’s University had a clear vision for what the Carriage House could become, but no roadmap for how to get there. The space had been used for storage and needed a complete transformation. Our team helped guide the process from the ground up, starting with rendering packages that gave shape to their ideas and sparked excitement. Once they could see the possibilities, the energy shifted. The project moved from uncertainty to momentum as the client found clarity and confidence in the design.

The finished space supports a wide range of uses, from group meetings and quiet work to student-led podcasts and creative projects. Every element was curated to support that versatility, with furniture and layouts tailored to the goals of the university rather than pulled from a catalog. This was a collaborative effort rooted in trust and shared vision. The result is a space that invites conversation, encourages ownership, and gives students a place to think, connect, and lead.

They had the vision, but they just needed help bringing it to life. Once they saw the renderings, everything clicked. Watching that shift from uncertainty to excitement and knowing the space now gives students a platform to use their own voices made this project especially meaningful.
